Tecan introduces new walkaway mass spectrometry solution

Tecan Trading AG has unveiled its latest innovation, the automated RESOLVEX A200 positive pressure workstation for liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) sample prep.

This walkaway system further expands Tecan’s portfolio of MS sample preparation workstations and smart consumables, uniquely allowing the company to provide complete solutions to match any workflow, from manual processing to semi-automated high throughput systems based on a Freedom EVO or Fluent platform.

The RESOLVEX A200 offers unattended positive pressure solid phase extraction, providing increased walkaway times for LC-MS sample preparation workflows. Lighter and smaller than previous systems, it has been carefully designed to offer greater ease of use and enhanced performance.

Tecan Group successfully completes acquisition of Sias

Männedorf, Switzerland, November 30, 2015 – The Tecan Group (SIX Swiss Exchange: TECN) announced today that it has successfully completed the acquisition of Sias to further expand its Partnering Business. On October 27, 2015, Tecan announced that it had reached agreement with the majority shareholders of Sias to acquire Sias AG, a leading OEM supplier of a wide range of modular and complete laboratory automation solutions. From December 1, 2015, Sias will be included in the consolidated financial statements of the Tecan Group as a part of the Partnering Business segment.
