three of the five are news websites — jack is obvs very into activism and tries to keep updated on current events as best as he can. the third is twitter, probably his most used social media. fourth is wikihow, because sometimes when he’s bored jack just goes on there and looks up the weirdest shit and memorizes it ( so if anyone needs to know how to build a bomb or how to calculate pi by throwing frozen hot dogs, jack’s got you covered ).

ok so i doubt he’d actually have a tumblr ( he much prefers twitter — it’s fast moving, good for getting news in real time, and easier to connect with friends. also, he likes the twitter brand of memes better than the tumblr memes tbh ) but if he did it’d be mainly social justice stuff. some memes and shit sprinkled throughout but mainly activist stuff. he probs wouldn’t care enough to change his theme from one of the basic ones, but if he did it’d be a super minimalist theme, not much going on. gets way too involved in The Discourse and probs sends ppl with bad views all-caps asks fairly often.
jack’s a little wary about social media because he knows his dad, Prominent Conservative Politician Henry Laurens, would not be happy if he were to find any of it — between jack’s blatant display of his political beliefs ( def not the same as his dad’s l m a o ) and his blatant display of his queerness, jack could very likely get disowned just from his twitter. once jack gets to like, sophomore year of college, though, he doesn’t care quite as much ; he does still keep his stuff on the dl, but he’s just kinda like, eh whatever happens happens.
he doesn’t use social media a whole lot except for as a news source, honestly. he follows mostly news accounts and other activists and stuff like that, and he’s really passionate about how sites like twitter can be used to spread first-hand accounts of events as they happen, but aside from that he doesn’t??? really care????
