Absolutely nothing about this place is making any sense--not his sudden appearance here, not the giant pit, nor the complete absence of the sensation of aura. Worse yet--Kite is far from getting his bearings, and already the unfamiliar situation has shown a hoop to jump through. Participate in this little mission, or face the implied consequence of death.
And in this state he’s in... Where he has lost the most crucial of his senses--the use of aura--he’s very vulnerable to a death threat, no matter how vague. It seems the answers to his innumerable questions will have to wait, for the time being.
Kite lightens his expression as he looks around for others who have not yet rushed at the opportunity to team up with those they knew. Maybe they were like him in that regard, too--not a familiar face in sight.
There’s no reason to be picky--he can’t spot malice in his current state, and so he takes a calm approach. “Excuse me... If you’re having no luck finding someone you know, it may be most prudent if we simply formed a team together--it does not seem we’ve much time.”
