One thing I’ve noticed that’s sort of unique about Alex from a technical standpoint is in certain consonants or words, he juts out his bottom jaw. Now I don’t know if he’s consciously doing this, but as a trained singer, I found it quite interesting. Generally you want a relaxed jaw, in a neutral position and down.
The shape of your mouth plays a big roll in how your note sounds in both tone, and how the note passes through the vocal chords.
I want to study live videos a bit more to see particularly which words that he does this. Will update as I see more.
