As well as Chris "The Glove" Taylor the other DJ at Radio Club was Egyptian Lover. Both were members of The Radio Crew who provided the soundtrack to the documentary Breakin' & Enterin' that inspired the movie Breakin'
Egyptian Lover wasn't involved with Breakin' or David Storrs ElectroBeat Records. In 1983 he joins legendary LA DJ group Uncle Jamm's Army and begins his own label Freak Beat (later becoming Egyptian Empire Records). In 1984 Egyptian Lover takes Kraftwerk's Tour De France and runs with it, self-releasing the electro classic, one of my favourites, Egypt, Egypt. This is followed by the album On The Nile
In the UK Egypt, Egypt turns up on Street Sounds Electro 5. Egyptian Lover and tracks from On The Nile appear on Electro 6 (My House (On The Nile)) and Electro 7 (Girls)
