They had a really crummy app that screwed up the entire thing apparently, and now they're doing it old school with paper ballots.
Wolf Blitzer on the Iowa caucus "results," 4 Feb 2020
Dealing with someone who's technologically illiterate is a kind of torture i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy
It would seem my brother is as incompetent at internet safety as our parents are.
I'm going to have to take it in, and I'll be deleting his account once I get my poor compy back.
What makes this more annoying is the fact that he's great at repairing motherboards and circuitry. I suppose it's the difference between the pit mechanics and the racecar driver.
When you’re experimenting with the idea of a podcast and end up accidentally deleting twenty-three minutes of audio during the editing process thanks to the recording app’s extremely unintuitive user interface:
I was wondering if you maybe have a Kik or Snapchat i could have?😊
I am a caveman. I live in my cave and don’t adequately adopt the increasingly ADHD application-based technologies around me. I bang rocks together in futile attempts to make fire but nothing gives. I am still of the belief that the best phone I ever owned was a blackberry. I am a caveman. Give me an app that isn’t exclusively geared to gay men and I seize up, overwhelmed with the panic that the robots are taking over or something like that.
I hope that answers your question.
so i've been trying to collect all the papers i've written over the years, particularly by going through my email archives to find ones i sent to myself to print etc (before Google Drive was a thing), sad though because i have no way of accessing the papers i sent to myself on my bryn mawr email, and if i sent from my bryn mawr email to another email, surely they would have been permanently deleted by now, so i'm sad about losing all of those papers. like i wrote a long paper on beards as phallic symbols how can i no longer have that??
(i don't want to go through the trouble of contacting bryn mawr's tech services or anything because like this is a super minor thing but i guess if there's some cool tech thing to re-find emails deleted years ago i'd love the help?)
