Just switched from corded headphones to wireless ones so I could walk around my room while my phone was charging, and once i sat back down there was a moment where my brain panicked because I was hearing audio but I wasn’t plugged into anything, and. I immediately flashed back to like ten years ago when someone told me a ghost story at a birthday party where the scary part, i guess you could call it the punchline? was that the phone kept ringing but it wasn’t plugged in. And once that brief moment if confusion passed, it just really hit home how far we’ve come in that span of time, that like yeah, my phone ALWAYS doesn’t have a cord. A lot of people I know don’t even have a landline, and those who do often have wireless recievers in different rooms of the house. It’s just amazing how technology has gotten to a point that once seemed impossible within my own lifetime, or my parents’. Almost unbelievable, but so encouraging.
