(I just wanted something posted today. Should have known it would be longer than I wanted lol)
Danny was sleeping in for once, and he should have known better considering what today was but he was still surprised.
“Daniel James Fenton!” The all too familiar voice of his long time best friend and boyfriend, Tucker Foley screamed out.
Danny lurched out of his bed so hard he launched himself almost into his ceiling.
Tucker, the bastard, smiled up at Danny, grinning like a mad man with his hands on his hips.
“Damn it, Tuck!” Danny barked out, “you know better than to scare me! I could have ectoblasted your face off!”
“But you didn't!” Tucker snickered as he reached his arms out, “happy birthday!”
Danny let out a long drawn out sigh as he floated down to Tucker's arms. His feet hitting the ground gracefully as Tucker immediately wrapped him in a hug. “You're the worst.
Tucker just kissed him with a dramatic grin, “and you wouldn't have it any other way.”
“Unfortunately,” Danny rolled his eyes.
“And since I woke you up like a drill sergeant, Sam made breakfast!”
Danny perked up at that, “it better be pancakes!”
Tucker hooked his arm around Danny's neck, “duh? What else would we make you? It's only your favorite.”
Danny rolled his eyes as he let Tucker basically drag him out of their room.
And Sam was in the kitchen, still wearing her purple and black skull PJs. Her hair was pulled back into a high ponytail. Danny grinned, her blonde roots were showing. She'd be bothering one of them to help her dye her hair here soon.
“I've brought the birthday boy!” Tucker declared, raising his hand not wrapped around Danny in the air.
Sam turned around and grinned. Her face was clean and she looked beyond pleased. “Good morning birthday boy!” Sam cooed as he walked over and pulled him into a kiss.
Danny rolled his eyes fondly as he kissed her back. “Thanks, Sam.” He peeked around her at the counter, “I heard you're making me pancakes.”
Sam grinned as she waved her arm towards the half made breakfast. A bowl of batter and a small stack of completed pancakes. “Yeah,
Danny snorted as pulled away from Tucker to observe the breakfast closer, “you made me sausages and bacon?
“Don't get too excited, it's Impossible,” Sam declared as she pointed at the package in the trash.
“Hey, that works for me,” Danny grinned as he stole a piece of bacon and popped it in his mouth.
She laughed as she swatted at him, “get out of my kitchen! I'll bring you your plate when it's done.”
Danny and Tucker both laughed as they retreated before she could beat them with her spatula.
Danny yawned as he flopped down onto the couch and Tucker flopped down basically on top of him, causing him to let out an ‘oof.’
Tucker grinned up at Danny, “so how's it feel to be 21? You're officially no longer Adult Lite.”
Danny laughed as absentmindedly played with Tucker's short dreads. “Tired so far.”
Tucker hummed, “fair.”
“And who's fault is that?” Danny raised an eyebrow.
“I don't know what your talking about,” Tucker denied while only opening one eye to look up at Danny.
“Of course you don't,” Danny rolled his eyes, but settled into the warmth of the couch and his boyfriend.
It was only a couple of minutes later when Sam came out of the kitchen balancing three plates stacked full of pancakes and plant based meats.
The boys perked up as she handed them their plates and placed her’s down on the coffee table. Before she walked back to grab them drinks, coffee and orange juice, and the bottle of organic, all natural maple syrup.
“Sam you're the best,” Danny grinned as he immediately drowned his pancakes in syrup and started to eat like a starved pig.
Tucker gasped, mock offended before he turned to Sam and nodded sagely, “I second that.”
Sam preened as she forced herself between them on the couch. “I know. I'm the world's best girlfriend.”
Danny and Tucker both nodded around their full mouths.
Sam just shook her head as she started to eat, with more manners than her disastrous boyfriends.
Danny felt warm as he basked in the affection of his partners. It felt nice to be spoiled on his birthday. They always managed to make him feel special.
Sam's pancakes are always delicious and all of her habits and vegetarianism rubbed off on them by now. Though Danny and Tucker do sneak off occasionally for a one on one date at a steakhouse.
Danny sighed contently as he sat his empty plate down. “This was a nice way to start off my birthday. How are you two going to top this?”
“Don't worry, I've got recipes and plans and a liquor store shopping trip in our future,” Sam declared as she pulled out her phone and displayed a to-do list.
Danny smiled, Tucker absolutely helped with that.
“Liquor store?” Danny asked as he started to sip on his coffee.
“Duh, Danny. It's your 21st. You have to use your ID to buy some alcohol. It's tradition,” Tucker drew out, “plus, we knew you'd probably want to stay in and not go get wasted in public.”
Danny nodded, thinking back to a college party Sam dragged him and Tucker to. And how after his fourth drink or so. He decided he was going to phase through every surface in that house. It did not end well for Sam and Tucker trying to wrangle him.
“Yeah, I think I would prefer that,” Danny grinned, “we don't need a repeat of me using my ghost powers as party tricks.”
Sam and Tucker nodded in unison. Both looking like they were trying to suppress laughter.
“But yeah, I've got class today and we'll grab some dinner and then go raid a liquor store and come back home and get wasted,” Sam explained with her sly grin.
Danny nodded taking another long sip of his coffee, “Sounds like a birthday I can get behind.”
“No one knows you better than us,” Tucker said before smacking a syrup sticky kiss on his cheek.
“Dude,” Danny groaned as he rubbed at his cheek and then wiped it across Tucker's shirt.
Tucker made an offended noise and immediately went to retaliate but Sam smacked both of them.
“Nope! Not while I'm in the middle. I still have to get ready!” Sam stood up with an eye roll.
Both boys poured for a moment before exchanging a look and getting up and immediately started wiping sticky hands and syrupy kisses on her.
It turned into a food fight until they all had to shower to get rid of the syrup and stickiness.
