Up to more shenanigans, these old Christmas books are equal parts cringe and useful, the patterns are interesting to say the least but I always end up tweaking them to my liking, im thinking felt rainbow cat bear rn

In the early days, these cuddly toys were better called 'bruins'. This term was used to advertise the bears in the initial days. The first advertisement for 'bruins' appeared in the American toy trade magazine 'Playthings' in May 1906. But, while the term 'bruins' were used for pretty some time; it certainly did not last for long. It was replaced by the term 'teddy bear' in the very same year of the toy's debut. The new advertisement was seen in Playthings a few months later- released by manufacturer E.J. Horsmen. The ad featured the term 'teddy bear' instead of 'bruins'.
