Batch 4: finished photo with a couple of alternates (in fact I shot ten to ensure good framing.) This is an example of happy accident - frames 2 and 3 are more what I envisaged but the random element in the process also gave me the wider shot with the glove drifting off the frame which I felt emphasised the "lostness" more. Batch 3 finished shots - this is going from shooting lots of stuff to understand the technique, to shooting subjects with purpose - hence lots of shots of fewer things. I'm really liking the effects I can get shooting this way, but shooting blind is starting to drive me nuts. Batch 3 (post 2 of 2): Straight out of camera shots from @tedforbes photo assignment #15 - shooting with a Holga (or a digital camera set to act like one). More flash shots. The flash is old and under-powered so I'm shooting about two stops over the declared aperture value and it's still coming out a bit dark. The lens seems to render mid-tones darker than life which makes it tricky to know if I'm underexposing, but it can make for some cool effects if you find a light subject against a mid-toned background. You'll see repetition in this batch as I start shooting subjects systematically and bracketing for framing.
