Reinventing Travel | Dreamcations

Remember those awesome travel stories your grandfather used to tell you; with those long tedious journeys, unexpected nights spent under a barn and those struggles of asking for directions with hand signs? Travel has come a long way from that, evolving into a comfortable and luxurious activity with access to all.  One can literally just jump up from his bed, grab his phone and travel to any corner of the world if he really dreams of it. Undoubtedly, we owe it all to the rapid overtake of the age of internet and smart device generation. The click of a button can make wonders happen, and what better can be more wonderful than travel.

Dreamed I was on a bus ride with several folks from a local church?  youth group?  Not certain on this point.  They were a prim and buttoned up bunch, whoever they were.  We stopped for a picnic, but only certain sections of the bus were allowed to disembark.  Somehow after I got off the bus, I spent several hours wandering happily lost in the woods and before you know it, I had completely missed meal time.  

I saw that it was 4 o'clock, and I knew we were leaving at 5, so I found the bus and settled into my seat for a nap on the return trip.  I slept through my stop and got off at the next stop.  Only then did I realize I left my bag behind on my seat.  I found a local trolley and hoped to catch up with the bus, however once we got going, I noticed we were headed in the opposite direction.  It dropped me off downtown and I began the journey home on foot.
