TED TONKS // @tedtvlks
She’s so wrapped up in the moment that she doesn’t see them come into the bar. It’s packed and there are bodies blocking her view of the door, but usually she notices. Ted is hard not to notice. She’s behind the bar tonight, happens as often as not. Theres no sense in hiding away in her office as far as Olivia can see, no sense in not being a part of what she’s created if she has a choice. And she likes what it is she’s created tonight, the colors are bright and the music plays over the rumble of voices. Some people dance, some people talk, everybody drinks. When she does catch sight of him Olivia is leaned over the bar with an American guy saying his drink order into her ear. Its gotten loud over by the bar, she’ll have to get people to move away so its possible to hear. But even though she can hear him just fine from this distance it becomes hard to focus on the man’s Highball when her eyes are locked on Ted over his shoulder. Painted lips form a grin, and they part after a moment, mouthing the word “Hey.” Its always a gamble when he walks in, if he’s here to see her or just to be at the bar. She could just ask him, but she’s alright with it either way. Maybe she goes home with him, maybe not. Maybe they spend twenty minutes making a mess of her office. She’ll embrace the possibilities.
