ashley has a dialog post-noveria that is all looking out for liara and it totally endeared the ship to me. (idk why connie/reiner is not more popular i want someone to pick apart shifter identity + titan transformation in connie’s village)
I think I remember that piece of dialogue...! Though...I may have to replay ME...with this ship in mind. The more I think about it the higher quality it becomes. Linking their character arcs to a complementary relationship arc is just...superb. I'm upset that I didn't notice this (all the lost time when I could have been shipping them...) before but so happy you prompted it now! Thank you so much!

Man, now I want an AU in Madoka’s world where that happens. :S
Kyoko/Homura is just too powerful because it's the truest of all the PMMM dynamics. It's also a dark horse, so no one knows they totally ship it until the moment it comes up and they realize, "...I can dig this. I do dig it. Wait. Oh my god." Not even the writers could acknowledge them too much because if they had Rebellion would have exploded in their faces and in their contrition they all would have been stuck writing relationship-focused 24-episode sequel series about Kyoko and Homura and also Mami.

I’m so glad to see that I am not the only one who furiously ships Connie/Reiner in secret… it pains me how much of a rare pair it is… sigh…
There is one pixiv artist who drew(/draws...?) a whole bunch of quality and painstakingly heartrending Connie/Reiner, and back when I first got interested in snk I came across their art in the Reiner or Connie tags and...it just drew me in. It's too much. #Reiner Braun's sad redemption fantasies are real and sinister, and when you think about how genuinely adorable and supportive it must have been in their trainee days it...kills you slowly before becoming flat-out lethal post-50.
