ooooh! i’ve been meaning to read higanbana for a while! how do you like it?

I've only gotten through the first scenario, but it's been good so far! It's a bit different from usual for ryukishi's stuff, though, it doesn't take any time getting right into things. It seems like it's going to be closer to a bunch of shorter disconnected stories, but I don't know what to expect yet.

But my impressions of the first one are pretty good. It gets heavy literally right from the start, but it does it well. I think maybe the only complaint I could have with it so far is that some of the... text style choices make it seem a bit overblown sometimes. There's so much CAPS LOCK LAUGHTER AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA EVIL

but that doesn't really take away from anything much, it's still filled with ryukishi's typical way of writing characters rambling about their idea of human nature and all that other good stuff

the music has been really nice too, and his art works so well for it

so to summarize, I'm excited to read more of it because it seems like it's great

and painful, but you know, 07th Expansion
