tee my beloved. shigaraki just seems like the type of character who fears vulnerability. which is a problem when it comes to you because love is essentially a person willingly making themselves vulnerable. so i feel like that fear would end up translating into extreme feelings of possessiveness and protectiveness over you. he doesn't just want you to be safe. he needs you to be safe. and while he puts on this front, that he believes the safest place for you is next to him, deep down he's terrified that he'll hurt you. that he'll kill you. and those fears tend to bubble up to the surface at night, when he's laying beside you and he's made painfully aware that all it takes is one slip of his glove and a brush of his hand over your soft skin for it all to come to an end.
