everything   was   quiet   ,   both   of   them   reading   on   their   own   when   the   glass   to   their   window   broke   and   in   came   something   that   definitely   shouldn’t   be   there   .   ❝      GET   DOWN   !!   ❞      his   training   kicks   in   instinctively   and   he   moves   much   faster   than   a   man   of   his   size   should   be   able   to,   dragging   her   off   the   bed   and   grabbing   the   mattress   to   pull   over   them   as   he   hurdles   them   to   the   floor   .   an   explosion   he   expected   rings   out   in   the   large   room   leaving   ringing   in   his   ears   and   coughing   from   the   debris   that   finds   its   way   beneath   their   makeshift   shield   .   

❝   fuck   .   ❞   he   mutters   when   the   time   has   passed   long   enough   for   him   to   determine   it   is   safe   .   they   can’t   stay   here   .   whoever   targeted   them   will   want   to   make   sure   the   deed   was   done   .   thor   flings   the   now   tattered   mattress   off   of   himself   and   feels   the   sting   in   his   side   .   a   groan   slips   through   his   lips   .   in   essence   ,   the   mattress   wasn’t   the   best   form   of   protection   but   it   was   all   he   had   and   the   shrapnel   in   his   side   isn’t   terrible   .   it   could   definitely   be   worse   .   

the   hotel   room   they   were   staying   in   is   missing   a   wall   after      the   projectile   came   barreling   through   the   window   ,   but   they   are   too   high   up   to   use   it   as   an   escape   .   ❝      we   gotta   move   ,   ❞   he   says   finally   getting   to   his   feet   or   more   like   stumbling   to   grab   the   bags   they   never   bothered   to   unpack   .      ❝      are   you   alright   ??      ❞   thor   questions   quickly   as   he   glances   her   over   but   ensures   that   his   pistol   is   loaded   and   ready   to   go   .   the   rest   of   his   weapons   are   in   the   bad   he   slings   over   his   shoulder   .   no   matter   what   injury   they’ve   suffered   as   long   as   they   can   move   they   need   to   do   it   NOW   .   / /  @tehrasave​

maybe   he’s   old   fashioned   but   he   still   prefers   the   vinyls   that   he   used   to   listen   to   when   he   was   a   kid   .   somehow   ,   it   felt   like   a   safe   space   .   even   in   the   orphanage   music   was   a   good   escape   .   the   rock   music   of   those   days   tended   to   speak   to   his   soul   .   ❝      maybe   YOURS   has   ,   but   mine   was   always   good   ,   ❞   he   responds   with   a   smirk   as   he   flips   through   the   records   on   the   table   .   some   forms   of   nostalgia   wasn’t   so   bad   .   ❝      what   was   that   band   you   used   to   listen   to   back   then   ??      probably   had   really   bad   hair   ??      ❞      hell   ,   they   all   had   bad   hair   back   then   .      the   thought   makes   him   chuckle   and   shake   his   head   .   ❝   at   least   only   the   music   was   about   the   only   thing   that   lasted   .   ❞  / /  @tehrasave​
