The European International Model United Nations

From 10th- 16th July 2012 I was joined this conference, which held in The Hague Netherlands. It's quite like a dream comes true, since I've been dreaming to go to Europe since I was in junior high school. And I can even feel that one day I sure will go to Europe. So when it turned out to be reality, no words can even described how I felt.

This is my first MUN and of course I feel really nervous and keep doubting my self like, can I really represent Japan on this conference? Three issues, other delegates from other countries and for anything sake they seem very well prepared and here I am, coming out from Indonesia and never going abroad before and never joining MUN before haha *pity*, but put that aside because I got really lot of experiences here, it was really worth, no one can even imagine how was my experienced there.

Opening ceremony :

Since the beginning I already mesmerize, I think I just simply falling in love with MUN, I'm really going to love this week. We started the day by introducing our self to other distinguished delegates and honorable chair (fyi I got the most handsome chair among all councils :3) and on the introduction section all I said was something like "Hai, My name Ni Wayan Wahyuni, I'm from Indonesia, majoring International Relations in Padjadjaran University, this is my first MUN, and I'm happy to meet all of you, thank you". Done with introducing thingy, we move to the rule of procedure for ECOSOC Councils, we start with the Roll Call and then we begin to discuss our first issue "Food Price Volatility and Market Regulation". Hard issue actually but thank God we come to the resolution, and then we discuss next issue "Carbon Emission Reduction" this issue really challenging for me, since I made great coalition with USA ahahaha we both proposed 5 amendments, which recognized as unfriendly amendments so here we are Japan and USA unite to include our amendments to the resolution. It was amazing actually, since I need to talk a lot in the council with my hmm so so language skill hahaha. Unfortunately only two amendments can include in resolution, but at least me and USA (represented by Suraj from India) already try our best, my very best partner in crime ever, yeayy!

That's all was the serious part, but that's not only activity we had, we also enjoy some party and cultural excursion.

1. Excursion to HIVOS

Hivos is a non governmental organization that work on humanity and   LGBT area, they try to make equity between LGBT in a community.

This is me and my team. We made a project which aim to make an acceptance of Lesbian, Gay, Bisex, and Transgender (LGBT) in community

2. Global Village

This event is the most colorful yet exiting one, because we met and taste (food and beverages) come from all countries who participated on TEIMUN 2012. Well I Love the free wine it everywhere!

3. Dinner with Council and Orange Party

We used to know each other delegates from this event, we are having dinner together, talking, sharing and sure having lots of fun and then goes to the Orange Party yeayyy!! Anyway this party was so Holland orange is all around!

4. Havana Party

This is the real party after all, midnight with the lamp, music, drink, lot of people cheering, many style of dancing and the most prominent after all was "Goyang Tembok" dance by me and Bawono. And the other important thing is I had "A REAL PARTY" with Natya lol.

5. Beach Party

Yuhuuuu we having short time match between board vs staff and yippie Staff win again (such a tradition every year). And after that we are having other match among delegates. Well Schev beach within 11-12 Celsius in the evening, what an amazing (barefoot) football!

That's only short of story from my wonderful week in Den Haag!! It was really amazing, unforgettable, well hope to see you soon again someday guys! <3
