‘ It’s not like you need to know everything about me just because I’m perfect, and a cheerleader. Okay, fine! Maybe things are kinda complicated at home, okay? It doesn’t even matter! Parents separating isn’t even bad! It’s like, super common! I bet yours are separated too! ‘
‘ Well, I feel like everything’s against me. My parents are divorced, I haven’t seen my mom in weeks, and my dad cares more about his stupid business than me, my grades are dropping, and I’m just supposed to what??shake ass and spell out “GO TEAM!” Infront of my peers?… I’ve honestly thought about killing myself. But.. I can’t do it now, especially with my reputation.. and Heather literally would kill me if I killed myself. ‘
‘ Just, please get out of my face.. and make sure to attend the game later tonight. ‘
‘ I mean, why wouldn’t I? I’m backed up by the most special cheerleading squad in Ohio, everyone is VERY talented! Then, Heather and Heather! We go to ALL the parties, play croquet, and do everything together! I really couldn’t ask for anything better. Oh! And Veronica’s super nice too! She even comes to my practices sometimes it’s really sweet of her! And! Uhhhh-… everyone else, too! ‘
But, sometimes it feels like there are too many of us. Like everyone is crammed in like a… tiny lifeboat. Traversing a dark, stormy wave-raged ocean. A lifeboat that’s too full, shoved to the top… And then I start thinking. What if I’m the next one they throw out?
‘ But as long as Heather is in charge, that’ll never happen! Right? ‘
Soo, Uhm, Yeah! I really love cheerleading! It’s kinda my whole thing. I’ve actually been captain three years in a row which is… wow. Totally crazy! Not that I’m bragging or anything! My coach always says, “If you have to brag about being captain, you’re not acting like one.” Maybe I should tell Heather that.
Speaking of Heather, have I mentioned I’m part of the most popular clique in WesterBurg? Well if you’re reading this you probably already know. This app was supposed to be, like, my little safe space, but it looks like Heather’s already on it! She’s… concerning, sometimes. She really needs a doctor, and she gets harassed by Heather constantly. Sometimes I do feel like offering myself instead of her, to release some weight off Heather! Y’know.. but…
Veronica’s actually really nice… We only just started hanging out with her, but I think we’re becoming good friends. The other Heathers didn’t like her at first, but I really did want to get to know her. She’s just… nice...
Anyways, I’ve got to go, football game at six.. Go WesterBurg!
PS: Thank you all for re-electing me as Cheerleading Captain for WesterBurg! 💛💛💛

- Heather McNamara’s mother is an obvious alcoholic from the West End lyrics of Big Fun. Heather doesn’t get the implications of how bad drinking is because she’s been exposed to it her whole life. Therefore she constantly drinks, and is quite knowledgeable in alcoholic beverages.
