The great Maggie Smith has died, age 89.
While best known for her work in the Harry Potter films, on the Downtown Abbey series, and in classics such as The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, I thought this clip from the acerbic Oh! What a Lovely War—itself well worth your viewing time—captured a different side of Dame Maggie.
Always memorable and excellent no matter the medium or vehicle.
