The prequels make everything else make sense. Darth Vader really was just as dumb as a box of rocks. Anakin may have been highly skilled but he just wasn't a very smart guy. He had a dull wit and virtually no inner life. He was what? 50 years old and at death's door before committing to being a dad. He spent most of his life dicking around with a weird old dude possessing super abilities... Darth Vader is Morty from Rick and Morty, I just realized that. I know we like to Romeo and Juliet the shit out of Anakin and Padme on here, but yeah, Anakin is Morty and Padme is really kind of an anomaly. It also explains everything wrong with the new tril... can’t watch Rick and Morty without Morty
Looking forward to that new Dune movie
didn’t come together too bad... Dune 18″ x 24″ oil on canvas
Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, oil on paper. I’ve never done a black and white painting before. Granted, I cheated with the black, I used Ultramarine Blue and Transparent Red Oxide, and some of the pure blue wound up on the face
Oil paint on paper. A one-and-done session which takes it’s inspiration from the master impressionist Jose Royo. Some of the paper is still exposed because with this particular set of pieces I’ve been doing, I’ve given myself limits to how much I’m going to do with them
Little shot of some Impresionism, inspired by Jose Royo
Looking forward to that new Dune movie
Childish Gambino as my 20 minute paint challenge. I know it’s been done and done better, but I like the image and decided it would be a good one to shoot for.

Experimenting with the Zorn palette, plus a shot of sap green and ultramarine blue in there to add just a little touch of extra colour
