Unpopular opinion, fic edition: modern AUs for historical fandoms are a million times harder to write than canon era. The characterization is so hard to get right, and you (read: I) can’t just get by by mimicking the style of canon. That’s not even mentioning the challenge of translating canon personalities, roles, occupations, etc to modern times

I think that was the year I went to pioneer camp...I was really into frontier stories and 19th century American folk music.

Haha, to be fair, the song has been around since '78. Plenty time for a bunch of people to hear it without knowing when/where/how :P I personally just heard it on a radio station when I was a kid lol

I just usually have really vivid memories of music...like I can tell you where and when I first heard each song I”ve listened to since I was 5 or so. And I definitely know this one, but unusually, I don’t know why lol

I love Cold Case. It’s just sad after cathartic sad

I’m so happy that I remembered streaming TV shows online exists, because Cold Case was my go-to show when it was airing in endless marathons in middle school and I wanted to cry.

You sure you didn’t get bit by something? Does one of your meds have rashes as a side effect? Most do.

I did take more lorazepam than usual, but looking at it closer, it looks like something rubbed against my perpetual arm-bumps* and aggravated them (probably my purse, since I toured for 3 days straight with it over my shoulder)
