ive been building a playlist of video game songs that are gentle and low key, for when im having trouble sleeping. a village swaying in the wind, that you just posted, is great :) do you have any other quick recs?

Oh, there are plenty of songs out there that I like that fall under that category! Animal Crossing is filled with those, my personal series favorite being "11 PM - Clear" from New Leaf. Here are a few extra ones that I recommend!

Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box - Folsense

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake - Unknown World (Dragon Quest is full of songs like this!)

Ape Escape - Time Station

Donkey Kong Country - Aquatic Ambiance (forever a classic)

i feel like. this can be a huge asset to design but only when the designer understands the following tenets:

1. the human form is not default; if you are going to make a humanoid pokemon, consider your other options first

2. the human form is vile and this vileness must either be leaned into or abstracted away from

these aren’t guidelines so much as just like. basic understandings reached when you draw enough monsters. examples of good humanoid pokemon are the timburr line ESPECIALLY gurdurr, mr mime, medicham, froakie line, toxicroak, golisopod, gardevoir maybe
