Tempe Town Lake! Central to Tempe and near Arizona State University’s main campus, this is a beautiful stretch of water and scenery that hosts a wide variety of activity. During the warm months (which, let’s be honest, is a good nine out of the twelve months) you can see people kayaking and paddle boarding. Many people do yoga beside that water or, for the more talented folk, yoga on a stationary paddle board on the beautiful water. There are so many cool places to take pictures and the view of the bridge lit up at night is absolutely stunning. Throughout the year, Tempe Beach Park, adjacent to the lake, hosts a wide variety of festivals, including the highly attended Pot of Gold festival that features food, drink, and talented musicians. If you’re on the search for some local sun and water, look no further than Tempe Beach Park!
