She stands on a dusty, unfamiliar road. The sun casts an igneous gaze upon the slight girl ;      she enjoys the dancing prickle of heat against her  flesh,  even as her attention remains stoically upon the task at hand.          ❝  I know I saw the   HEARTLESS   come this way   -- oh, there you are!  ❞

She pivots on a sneaker to follow the shadow’s erratic path     -- and then  comes  face to face with a young man. Instinct demands that she take a step back ;      she  ignores the outcry for personal space  as she casts her eyes first left,  then  right  in  search  of her quarry. A sigh acts her proclamation of defeat,          ❝  I lost it, again.  ❞
