Tempest Leather makes gorgeous handcrafted leather guitar straps, belts, camera straps and dog collars. The idea of Tempest Leather began years ago in the mind of Cameron Loughlin, creator/designer/maker. But before it became a reality, he worked as a meteorologist. While weather was his career, leather and music were his love, and finally won out.
Tempest Leather officially started in late 2012 after Cameron left his meteorologist job. Having experience from working at his Dad’s leather factory as a teenager, Cameron realized that he could combine his passion for music with knowledge of the leather business to form a unique company. The first line of Tempest guitar straps was officially introduced at the NAMM trade show in Los Angeles in the winter of 2013 and became a full time endeavor in 2015.
In addition to their wide range of handmade guitar straps with limited runs of belts, camera straps and dog collars. they also do custom work and will help you develop an idea into an amazing finished product.
Tempest believes in making accessories the old school way, from start to finish in our workshop using vintage machinery and only with the best vegetable-tanned leather and Bison leather. These particular leathers are considered high quality leathers that are recognized for their rugged durability as well as their stylish appearance.
