Tempest Reborn is the finally book in the Jane True series and I am not ready to let go yet. Me getting this series was a total fluke. I use to be very judgy about books: I only want the pretty cover (so glad I don't really do this anymore), I'm not trying outside the genre I like (I'm a little better on this one) and mostly I don't do mass paperback (I admit I still don't). So imagine my surprise when I read the synopsis for the first book in the Jane True series and it came to me as a mass paperback, least to say I was disgusted.
I hate mass paperback with a passion and to this day I still won't buy one on purpose but the Jane True was the exception. I decided to read the first book, Tempest Rising, because I paid for that damned book and money does not grow on trees and I am so glad I did. Nicole Peeler has written amazing character and an incredibly unique story, that I absolutely love.
Jane has to been one of my favorite characters, she loves sex, food and has a fantastic sense of humor. It's the humor that gets me, in every book Jane makes a decision that I would have made and she makes these hilarious jokes. I have laughed out-loud, multiple times, in every single book in this series. I am talking loud, embarrassingly and sometimes long, laughs. Jane is sassy, brave, funny and stubborn. She is the character you will love to be friends with.
This is getting a little long so I will say that all of the other characters were great. They each had their strengths and weakness, they flowed in the story nicely and each had their own distinctive personalities and had their own personal growths. Nicole made such well rounded characters and the plot was wondrous. I could not have guess from books one, two or three where the story was going. Each book was it's own individual story but bleed into a much bigger story that I didn't see coming. I loved the individual story lines and the overall.
Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ In Tempest Reborn we lost people (both good and bad), fought a war, battled m-fing dragons, and found out the reason behind everything. This last book brought everything full circle and ended as only a Jane True book could have. I love these characters and will never let them go, I only wish (selfishly) for more.
