All about your OCs

Choose an OC and answer the following questions so we can learn a little more about them. Feel free to include all your OCs if you want.

1. OC Name: Tempest (Aullife/Van Rolffe)

Tempest wasn't named by her parents (her mother wanted to name her Mildred?), but by the crew of The Harpy - the ship she was born on. Born in the middle of a storm, with a temper to boot, it was the obvious choice in name.

She doesn't use a surname; no one thought to tell her she could. She technically has claim to two very powerful surnames in the pirate world - Aullife through her father and Van Rolffe through her mother - but Temp didn't want people sucking up to her due to who her (estranged) parents are.

2. Does your OC have any nervous tics or self-soothing habits?

Temp traces protective runes out a lot; a deeply religious practice for her. When she's stressed she runs her fingers over the shallow grooves on the balustrade at the prow of her ship where she carved the runes initially.

When she needs to clear her head or calm down, she scurries up the rigging to sit atop the spar of the main mast.

3. Let's say your OC got kidnapped. What would save them?

Olivia. Temp could save herself, but Liv is a force to be reckoned with. It's happened before. They're so obsessed with each other :')

4. If your OC has a love interest, are they opposite or rather similar?

Kerr is more levelheaded, Olivia is more dramatic, Temp is usually somewhere in the middle. They're all fiercely loyal people who would go to the ends of the earth for their loved ones. Liv is maybe more willing to get her hands dirty; her moral compass isn't as well-defined. Kerr is a little more rigid (being a Fleet officer and all) but he's learning to chill tf out.

5. Is there a story behind making your OCs? What inspired you?

For the meme of it all. Tempest the Tempest Genasi Tempest Cleric, who served on a ship called The Tempest. And now she's one of my favourite characters I've ever created. :')
