I did really enjoy the pirates event... but...
SPOILERS!!
I really expected a little bit more of a twist than "We're actually bounty hunters but we dont wanna turn you in anymore". I know events are kinda short, but the pirate genre is full of really fun troupes they could've explored! I haven't seen any of the Devilgrams yet, do keep that in mind.(My gacha luck is awful)
If I were to write it myself, I would've gone with something more revolved around how out of place in the crew Mc seems at times. They're so capable and good at working on the ship, aint that a lil sus? Maybe they couldve been a traitor, a former fearsome captain, or hell, maybe even a merperson if ya wanna go wild.
Just writing down some thoughts cause my mind wont let go of it and Im trying to write my other writing requests. Maybe when I'm done I'll write some Mer!Mc, as a treat :)
