Weren’t vaccations supposed to be relaxing? She’d thought that, but somehow between the new baby the two families and the looming wedding date, Jane and Victor had missed that step. She’d seen Elizabeth off safely to her flight. She’d seen Victor trudge up the stairs to their bedroom. And she gave him just enough time to forget that she was awake before she headed up to meet him. 

Victor hadn’t noticed her come in, her bare feet making almost no sound. His surprise as she slipped into the big claw footted tub was too cute not to smile at. She loved seeing him surprised. Almost as much as she loved the way his eyes traced over her. Scars didn’t matter to Victor. Nor did stretch marks, or freckles, or dimples. Jane could almost swear that she felt his gaze tracing over her, lingering on his favorite places, and she blushed slightly. She would blame it on the heat of the water. 

Soapy water could hardly ruin a kiss from Victor. She could kiss him for months --years!- and never learn all the ways he would make her knees weak just from this simple act. He pulled her closer and Jane chuckled softly. His hands always felt strong on her hips. They left faint trails of fire as he pulled her close, traced over her hip and thigh, retracing her form with hands. She pressed closer again, purring. She had been loookging forward to this, and it seemed he had been as well, if his shudder-inducing touches were anything to go by. But they were both wise enough to know that a bathtub wasn’t the ideal place for such things. But such a setting was easily changed. 

“I missed you.” Jane admitted, pressing the words between the kisses trailing up to his ear. Her hand came over his, the water sloshing as she moved him, and reached to take her turn tracing him. She let her fingers swim over his skin, tracing over strong thighs, finding secret freckles, teasing him just enough to make him listen.  “But we’re here now.” She kissed him again, slowly, letting her hands slip back down between them. “Can I make a suggestion?”
