❛ --- Those sounds again... ❜
ACCORDING to her non-Scroll Scroll, which somehow still functioned just fine... The last time everything had gone crazy, it had lasted a little over six hours. Maybe closer to eight... ? Just as before, the landscape changed with the same amount of stubbornness as those random floaters that occasionally clouded your vision --- right in your periphery, shifting and darting away as soon as you looked. Within moments, Spirale had become a cold, abandoned wasteland once more --- the sirens that had punctuated its return abruptly silent. Her weary sigh leaves her in a short burst, a visible cloud of air due to the drop in temperature.
She doesn’t have much time to dwell on it, though, as a low rumble immediately catches her attention. Whatever these monsters are, they seem more restless than before --- and one with particularly shiny fangs was making a beeline for what must have been the only other sign of life in this place. The shock of white hair initially makes her think of Ragna, but it isn’t near spiky enough --- and odds are they don’t have the means to take on what they can’t even see.
❛ DUCK --- ! ❜ Ruby shouts as she launches into action. A considerably tame warning considering she lands promptly on the creature’s back, Crescent Rose’s blade making quick work of its head --- abnormally-large teeth and all.
