Just Eat Takeaway delivers food for us, but for Palestinians, this isn’t the case.
Just Eat Takeaway is an international Dutch company active in sixteen countries. In Israel, they also have a subsidiary known as 'Tenbis'.
Tenbis delivers to people and businesses located in illegal settlements in the West Bank and other Palestinian territories (this is very easy to find by visiting their site and typing in the addresses of illegal settlements).
This means that Tenbis, and therefore Just Eat Takeaway, directly profits from the illegal settlements and thus does not adhere to international law.
To emphasize how reprehensible this is, they earn money by supplying food to these settlers, while Israel uses access to food as a weapon against the Palestinians.
Especially during this week, the IAW (Israeli Apartheid Week), it is important to remember the various things companies are guilty of. And that is why I want to ask everyone to be aware that when you order from Just Eat Takeaways, you are also contributing to this.
So let's stop ordering from Just Eat Takeaways. Thank you. 🇵🇸.
