We love to make this extraordinary cut of meat for these special seasons since it's ideally suited for taking care of a lot of individuals and doesn't
Art I see walking around the city, the city is a canvas for so many types of artists. #sf #hayesvalley #tenderlion #lowernobhill #msashie @masakatsusashie #aryz @mr_aryz #jeremynovy @jeremynovy Don’t know Don’t know #amandalynn @alynnpaint (at San Francisco, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/COUJC4OJVUk/?igshid=1sb3euy9thk4n
ARTIST STUDIO VISITS I Hugh Leeman (Part 2) As a part of what I am now calling my 'Covid-19 Adventures', I am conducting a series of artist studio visits in the Tenderloin area (so far) starting with Hugh Leeman. Just off of 6th @ Market, resides one of the most colorful live/work spaces I have ever encountered. Pictured here is his most recent ongoing series of highly textured abstracted oil portaits taken from both historical and personal reference. To me, these look seriously fun and tedious to paint. I've always enjoyed Hugh's ability to push the envelope and venture into new territory, never pigeon holding himself into any specific style or movement. Every new series he produces is unique to itself. It's refreshing to see an artist to continue their curiosity throughout their work and life. Hugh is a great example of that curiosity After nearly a decade of friendship, artistic comradery, participating in illicit street art projects together, countless hours of conversations and collaborations with Hugh; I finally decided to photograph his space. His work has gone through several transformations over the years ranging from collaborative non profit mural/apparel projects with the local homeless, using his work to promote clean water projects for the Aeta tribal communites in The Philippines, a variety of global street art projects in the US, UK, Isreal, India and beyond, highly internal metaphysical absract works, tenderloin based community projects and so much more. Until then you can view more of his work at www.hughleeman.com #hughleeman #tenderlion #casual #artiststudiovisits (at San Francisco, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_azAo8B8nT/?igshid=153h5povhwdxy
