Usually, the movies or a show delve into a story once it’s already been established, because it seems like it would be too much of a drab to start from the very beginning. People might grow tired of exposition and just want to go straight into the action---but WHAT IF... what if the action AND exposition came in at the same time? Then they would be excited!
That’s what Jake WOULD think to himself had he not just started to experience the craziness of the world all in one shot. One moment he was at the coffee maker, and the next... well, there was SCREAMING. The detective looked up and craned his neck to look at the source, but it was too much chaos for him to even figure out what was going on.
“Hey---hey, hey, what’s wrong?” he asked a woman who was cowering in the corner. All she did was point, and when he turned his head to follow, what he saw was completely... no, TOTES awesome!!!
He should be terrified---which he was, he really was---but he was also just in awe that he was seeing something he’d only seen in Zombieland or The Walking Dead. And, no, it was not a person dressed up as a walker; there was legit guts and blood dripping everywhere from a huge gash in its stomach.
“This... Is... amazeballs!!!” Jake pulled out his gun and aimed it at the zombie---just thinking that word gave him a nerd boner---immediately shooting it in its face. It fell to the ground with blood and brain bits splattering around everywhere, and Jake’s mouth kept an “O” shape the entire time. He glanced over at Terry, who he only now just saw, and grinned at him as if he were a child receiving his favorite toy on his birthday.
“DID YOU JUST SEE WHAT I DID?! I killed a ZOMBIE!”
