ruby  eyes  looked  over  at  ichigo ,  a  tenderness  in  them  as  she  let  his  words  sink  in .  up  until  this  point ,  she  had  no  reason  to  expect  anything  from  anyone .  not  due  to  some  cynical  worldview  nor  deep  resentment  towards  any  one  person ,  but  because  she  could  do  a  lot  for  herself ,  &.  had  been  for  the  better  part  of  her  life  since  she  was  had  been  out  on  her  own .  so  to  hear  him  pledge  that  he  wanted  to  do  his  best  to  never  disappoint  her  was  endearing .  she  offered  him  a  soft  smile .  ❛  haha ,  you’re  so  silly ,  ichigo .  but . . .  thank  you .  it’s  nice  that  i  know  i  can  rely  on  you  if  i  need  to .  ❜

there are plenty of things that comfort star : reading, writing music, singing, playing her guitar, etc. though the thing that comforts her is a nice long walk in a park or forest of some kind. she has found that being amongst nature and her natural splendor helps her mind clear and relax her nerves. being in the woods or among the flora brings her a lot of relief from the stresses of the world — be it work or life in general. it’s the one place where she can really reflect and think without any distractions whatsoever.

another  sneeze  was  made  as  ichigo  brought  a  bowl  of  hot  soup  for  her .  what  an  embarrassing  sight ,  her  being  sick !  how  long  had  it  been  since  she  had  even gotten  this  ill ?  perhaps  when  she  was  just  a  mere  child .  but  this  was  just  absurd !

nevertheless ,  star  accepts  the  bowl ,  giving  a  quiet  ‘ thanks ’  his  way .  ❛  well ,  this  is  just  fan - fuckin’ - tastic .  last  time  i  got  this  bedridden ,  i  was ,  like ,  fifteen .  i  don’t  even  know  how  i  got  this  sick  in  the  first  place !  ❜

star  was  a  firm  believer  that  everyone  was  capable  of  more  good  than  they  were  evil .  it  was  only  a  matter  of  circumstance  &.  experience  that  would  shape  them  into  the  people  —  or  MONSTERS  —  they  would  embody .  in  her  mind ,  evil  is  created ,  CURATED .  perhaps ,  even  sometimes ,  born .  but  being  kind ,  was  always  a  choice .

that  was  the  kind  of  philosophy  she  has  followed ,  &.  that  applied  to  ichigo .  even  being  a  REAPER  was  a  necessary  evil ,  some  considered .  whom  else  would  guide  wayward  souls  to  the  afterlife  upon  their  deaths ?

but  being  a  reaper  had  its  challenges ,  often  in  the  form  of  rather  loud  &.  vocal  souls  who  wish  not  to  be  dead ,  but  have  no  other  choice .  for  death  comes  to  all  at  the  very  end .

even  powerful  succubi  succumb  to  the  inevitability  of  the  great  beyond  after  living  centuries  upon  centuries .

ruby  eyes  looked  over  ichigo ,  a  small  smile  on  her  lips .  star  tilts  her  head  some ,  her  long ,  raven  hair  following  as  it  it  gracefully  fell  around  her  form .  yes ,  there  is  good  in  everyone  —  even  in  the  reapers .
