i can't handle how cute these dorks are. stronk kids, fast kids. Yuu is here to make sure Tenya doesn't forget his competitive spirit in the midst of Life's Many Rules. he could use a little fun and spontaneity in his daily routine i think. and it works out well because he has the sense to slam on the brakes if Yuu starts getting a little too crazy.
Despite going to UA, Yuu didn't officially meet Tenya until after she had already graduated, as she was a grade ahead of him. In his senior year, he interned at the agency where she was a sidekick.
After some time working together, Tenya catches the feels first and approaches with a request to ask her out. Yuu, who's a bit... uhhh spooked? by the idea of this kind of commitment? asks for time to think it over. A month goes by of rather awkward interaction, Yuu gets herself together, reminding herself that it's just dating (for now), and after a ridiculous racing challenge before work one day, she agrees to go out with him.
