He is the original of Greece's TV. Believed, beloved and popular at most
Started working as a reporter in 1966 for lots of daily newspapers, Quick was also a correspondent for The Sun in Athens before switching to television when TV started broadcasting in Greece.. He was the main presenter of the news for the National Television ERT for several years, he set up channel ET3 in Thessaloniki and remained the national newscaster until 1989, when he joined the newly-formed private ANT1TV. He was ANT1's main newscaster, director, and developer of what the new face of news on Private TV should be.
Terence never cheated the audience, never presented lies on TV News. First among firsts he remained popular and credible throughout a long decade, during which his presence on the News was bringing to the channel ratings, often, bigger even than 50%
After his exit form the the first- till then- News Program of the country, , Antenna TV's ratings descended to around 20% and kept descending more. It was around the time when a next ambitious news director came on the throne of the great public opinion power of Ant1, but in his hands tv ratings fell even lower than 10% It was Giannis Michelakis who after Ant1's news director chair, he became A.Samaras' strategic communicator till today.. On the last elections, he was not elected MP by the New Democracy.
Terence kept raising his voice against the violations of the public rights on other minor channels, until he joined the Independent Greeks.
Terence run, indeed, the first anti-austerity news program on Kontra Channel.
He fought against all the dirty media games that wanted the Independent Greeks Party destroyed and dissapeared.
He kept supporting the Greek Pride.
