the only music i've been listening to lately (since i've been in the audiobook hole) has been rush, right. obviously. and since i'm preparing for my ascension to enlightenment in 27 days i've been mostly listening to live sets. and they released a box set of grace under pressure this year which includes a remaster of the september 21 1984 maple leaf gardens show in its entirety including KID GLOVES!!! so i'm listening to that.

oh that’s my favorite line from limelight which was the first Rush song I ever heard! here’s some tumblr user geddyqueer lore: about five years ago I was driving to feed someone’s cats and Rush came on the radio and I was like this slaps I should listen to rush and then I went to a show and (unbeknownst to me) picked up covid and then the next morning went backpacking and about a mile into my 13 mile trek started getting limelight running through my head on repeat and I had just enough service to stream that one song over and over and then I slept very badly due to (what I now know was) the covid and also camping at 12,500’ (not great with covid) and then when we got back down to the trailhead and drove home the symptoms set in and ALSO possibly unrelated I did a rush speedrun and listened to every album and then every live bootleg I could find over the next two and a half weeks. and then I changed my username and got a prescription for testosterone. the end!
