The Broody Bunch || Terrable & Vaughn

Tons of people walked by Georgia’s farm and Vaughn had learned to ignore them all. A few stopped to stare, some called to the animals or waved, and there’d been that weird pink-headed girl apparently putting sweaters on the chickens. But Vaughn’s focus was his work and his work alone. It just happened to be that he was near the fence with one of the horses, feeding him a sugar cube, when a tall man with violet hair passed. He wasn’t sure why he looked, but his head lifted and he locked eyes with the stranger.
As soon as he did, a weird feeling overcame him. Like he knew this guy in some way, but Vaughn was absolutely certain he didn’t. Which only unnerved him more. Usually, Vaughn would break eye contact as soon as possible. Looking at people made them want to talk to you for some weird reason, doubly so for himself since his eyes weren’t a normal color. But now that he was looking at this guy, Vaughn couldn’t look away and it was making him a little agitated.
“Need something?” Well, he was staring too, so Vaughn felt perfectly fine in asking that.
