Terrel was beginning to wonder if letting Sacilia take that Rowlet had been a mistake. He knew that having a Pokemon companion would help keep her safer, but it came at the cost of training. As much as he wanted to be a hover friend and protect her 24/7, he knew that a trainer needed some time with their Pokemon to train alone and bond. Giving her the space Rowlet and her needed was hard, and left Terrel with anxious gaps in his schedule.
“ Hey, watch it. Don’t get in my way. “ -- and that left him in a very bad mood. So when he bumped into a poor stranger about his age, Terrel snapped at her quite rudely. The Noibat flying alongside him swooped overhead and landed on his hat roughly, forcing Terrel to bow down to the girl ‘apologetically.’ Noibert’s reminder did snap Terrel out of his bad mood, enough to look up at the stranger and offer a more sincere apology;
“ Or-- ugh. Sorry. Are you okay? I didn’t mean-- ugh... My bad, miss. “
The room that she was kept in was completely white: The walls, the floor, the ceiling, the metallic furniture... It was the sort of place where tracking mud was more than just leaving crumbs: it was more like begging to be followed. Fortunately, Terrel was not leaving crumbs. Unfortunately, he was leaving blood instead. The bright red trail led right up to the metal door that sealed her. Since his bleeding made this operation not-so-subtle, he didn’t feel bad about having his Noibat use Air Cutter to rip the door down.
“ AUU--! “ Sitting on the, you guessed it, pure white bed was a girl dressed in, guess what color?, pure white. Her red eyes stood out among all of the washed colours, and widened when she saw Terrel and his trail. “ TE-- ROOROO! You’e bleeding?! “
“ That’s all you’ve got to say?! Get up! “ Terrel looked over his shoulder, then back at her... Seeing she hadn’t moved, he shook his head roughly and stomped over to grab her hand. “ Come on, Silly! I caused a lot of trouble and we’re gonna get it if they catch us! “
“ ... Rooroo! Y-You’re... Aww, you’re saving meeee! “ The brunette giggled. Then she hopped to her feet and squeezed his hand appreciatively. “ Ah, but-- I have to take Cosmoggy! I’m not leaving without ‘em! “
“ Got you covered. But we can’t help anyone just standin’ around. “ He tugged her towards the open door, “ C’mon, we’ve gotta run. Renae and Mikale can only buy us so much time. “
“ R-Right...! Okay! “ For a moment, it had seemed like Terrel might be the one leading them out of here. But with a burst of inspiration, the small girl took off and dragged Terrel to the door herself. He stumbled, caught off guard and also dealing with a bloody leg injury, but grinned when he heard her determined thoughts.
“ That’s more like the Samantha I know! “
“ I’m not Samantha! “ She corrected harshly, “ It’s Satou now! “
“ Yeah yeah. Silly is more like it. “
“ Mou, ROOROO! Sah-TOE! Geez! Don’t annoy me, or I’m gonna leave you behind! “
Since arriving in Alola, the pair of kids had rarely been apart. Mostly because of their paranoia for one another: Sacilia was scared for Terrel’s health and he was scared for her safety. The only reason he was letting her go off alone now was because she had a proper Pokemon to protect her.
With his own Noibat companion, the purple haired boy headed into the city for some sight seeing. It was hard not to notice a member of Team Skull around here. People around were gossiping softly already. From what he had gathered, Terrel understood Team Skull to be similar to his own ‘family,’ Team Rocket, back in Kanto. So he couldn’t stop himself from curiously approaching a member when he saw them.
“ So this is how Team Skull dresses, is it? “ He asked casually, “ You’re causing quite the stir just by being in the area. You people must have some sort of reputation, and it doesn’t sound good. “
For the first few weeks after arriving on Melemele Island, the two children had been limited in terms of exploration. Mostly because Terrel was injured and their host family terrified of him aggravating his injury. But now, the pair were able to do a bit of exploring. They had gone into town already to try some of the local snacks, where they had heard a rumor... Which had prompted Sacilia’s racing off to the far coastline. More specifically, to a certain professor’s house.
“ PROFESSOR KUKUI! Please open the door! I challenge you to a duel! “
Energetic and silly as ever, Sacilia rushed along the beach in a march blinded by spirit. Following after her was Terrel, and with him, some common sense.
“ The energy is great and all, Silly, but you don’t have any Pokemon with you right now. “ The only Pokemon between them were a Cosmog in Silly’s bag and the Noibat on Terrel’s shoulder. Even so, the little girl went knocking on the door.
“ That’s okay! They said Professor Kukui wrestles Pokemon himself to learn about their movesets! Maybe if I wrestle with his Pokemon too, I’ll learn something! Please open the door, Professor Kukui! “
“ ... “ Terrel had forgotten that her silliness had no limits. Hoh boy.
