Random question, do you think that the inklings and octolings get hurt by the water because its fresh? Maybe they can only swim in salt water.

i personally believe inklings are resilient to all water for a decent time period, but when fully submerged they instinctively panic and breathe in the water and it dissolves them inside-out.
