#Repost @history ・・・ When #NikolaTesla was found dead at age 86, representatives of the U.S. government’s Office of Alien Property swarmed his NYC hotel room and confiscated the documents they found there relating to the pioneering inventor’s work. It was January 1943, the height of #WWII, and Tesla claimed to have invented a “death ray.” Rather than risk Tesla’s technology falling into Axis hands, the government took possession. What happened to Tesla’s files from there, as well as what exactly was in them, remained mostly shrouded in mystery until the FBI finally declassified roughly 250 pages of their Tesla-related documents in 2016, and followed up with two additional releases.
