MARINE SERRE - HEADS OR TAILS Fall/Winter 2025
RIMOWA | 'Le Notti Rosse' by Tess Lochanski
Memory has a rhythm of its own. ‘Le Notti Rosse’ follows a woman in a small Italian town as her memories surface in unexpected ways, guiding her through the evolutions of time and identity. Directed by Tess Lochanski, a French filmmaker whose signature approach bridges documentary, fiction and fashion, the film unfolds in an intuitive and emotional take on self-discovery as a creative and psychological journey. Director: Tess Lochanski; Production Company: 92am & Iconoclast; Cinematography: Nicolas Jardin; Music: Erwan Sene; Post Production: Posterco; Head of Post-production: Julien Daniel; Editing: Giovanni Bufali
tesslochanskiLast summer we shot a little film in Puglia with @mathildecarlotti thanks to @rimowa The director’s cut link is in bio (LE NOTTI ROSSE) Endlessly grateful to all my friends who supported me through this sweet and cruel summer of mine and participated in creating this. Still amazed that I get to tell stories in the language of film, and somehow call that a job. May this be forever. MARINE SERRE - HEADS OR TAILS Fall/Winter 2025
Marine Serre 10.03.2025 La Monnaie de Paris This season, the cinematic inspiration behind the Heads or Tails collection was so deeply woven into the show that the House sought to push the boundaries of the fashion film format. The film emerges as a hybrid creation, straddling the line between a short film and a runway film. Directed by Tess Lochanski, it offers an additional narrative lens on the collection, spotlighting the iconic figure of the Ghost—a symbol of empowerment and freedom that fuses references to Lynch and Irma Vep, envisioning itself as a modern-day, otherworldly heroine. The soundtrack, composed by Para One, layers a Bulgarian choir over a rousing speech by activist Mario Savio (excerpted from his track Shin Sekai), alongside a poignant tribute to Badalamenti, further amplifying the Lynchian influence.
