I recently read a post asking 10 questions to Humanity. Intrigued, I thought I would lay my hand at some of MY opinionated answers. disclaimer:these are my opinions and do not depict what I think the world should answer. link to follow
QUESTIONS TO HUMANITY:
1. Music Lyrics; Is there anything that hasn't already been said? I'm going to be honest with you, I say "anything" to the question "what do you listen to?" to make it easier on myself so that I'm not ridiculed on my taste. But the answer stil stands. Love, Sex, Drugs, Loss, Money, Christmas, Parody. It's all the same in songs. The way you tell it is what sets you apart. 2. Secrets of the Universe; If revealed to you, and if they challenged everything you thought you knew, could you discard all of your previous beliefs? Yes. Absolutely. I had one of those, not Jehovah Witness, but just a rando member of some congregation, come talk to me about God and told me that the bible is full of scientific facts that make it true because someone pushed "pen to paper" and wrote it saying so. If the world was to get undressed in front of me and tell me best friend secrets over popcorn at a slumber party...I would no doubt in my mind change my way of thinking. Facts are lifeblood. 3. Happiness and meaningfulness; Is it better to participate in the grand human social machine or seek contentment alone? There is no doubt in my mind that in today's society, you have to conform and participate in things you never want to do. That being said, I have infinite belief that in the end, you need to be happy and worry about yourself. It just is what it is. Conform and be miserable or conform with an agenda and maybe fine contentment. The journey makes the ending. 4. Immortality; If and when scientists perfect a method to extend life indefinitely, would you take the plunge? YES. I have always enjoyed the idea of living forever. With, of course, the full knowledge that I will eventually get "bored" of it and want to be dead. 5. Current events; Beyond money, why do people choose to be Police Officers? Attorneys? Politicians? I think this definitely stems from people wanting overall control and power. With those jobs, people listen, per say, to you. Your word is "law" 6. LOVE; Purely bio-chemical? A genuine spiritual event? Or a survival mechanism to overcome the perils of being utterly alone? Honestly, some can argue that love is chemical. I wouldn't know how to fully answer this one on only my 23 years of living. Having been "in love" twice, the only way I can describe it is progressional. If you've felt love, it only gets stronger the more it happens. You feel what you did before but sooner, and it gets higher as you fester upon it. The phrase "never felt this way before" comes to play and you start to question what you felt with that other person. I do believe that to some people, love is a weapon. Use and abuse it. In the end though, we'll all end up alone. So I challenge this question with another, Does it matter to have loved if the end result is perpetual alone-ness anyway? 7. All about that bass; Do boys really want a little more booty to hold at night? Booty, yes. Tits, yes. Stomach, NO!!!!!!! 8. Where we're going, we don't need roads; f, long from now, the world is completely mechanized, thus eliminating the need for most people to work, what will we do with our lives? Who knows? Humans will eventually come up with something interesting and it'll become a phenomenon and then 5-10 years down the line it will be the social norm. I just hope it involves drinking, 9. What rules the roost? Opinions or Fact? I am a woman of fact. Show me something with at least 3 reliable sources and I'll believe it. Opinions rule the roost in society though. Facts never stood a chance. 10. Does every single human life on earth have value? Challenging as this question is, it goes hand in hand with the previous one, I think. You'll either put me down for my opinion or raise me up and support me as if its fact. Nonetheless, You should cherish each day and treat those around you like they are worth something. Especially that creepy weirdo at work. You just might end up a witness in that shooting. Not the victim.
There you have it. My brain stew for the morning. Go ahead and look here and answer them for yourself. Once they keys start typing...you never know what's going to come out.
