(this is a little long but idk I like it)
Alex is standing outside with his hands shoved in his jeans.
“Hey. I’m guessing you’re Violet.” He says with a smile. I watch Violet’s face drop.
“Oh.” She says in a short breath. I rush to the door and push her out of the way.
“Not the reaction I was expecting.” Alex says as he steps inside. I try to smile.
“Sorry about her,” I say, trying to brush Violet off. She’s still standing off to the side with a confused look on her face. As Alex heads into the living room, I glare at Violet. “What was that for?” I hiss at her.
“It’s a guy.” She states. I shush her.
“Wow. How could you tell.” I mumble under my breath.
“Do you… like him?”
“He’s my friend.”
She stands her ground. “That’s not what I meant, and you know that.”
“It’s none of your business.” I tell her. Before she can ask me anything else, I quickly guide Alex upstairs to my room.
