#30DaysOfTesting - Day 2: ecommerce testing blogs
Read and share an interesting blog about ecommerce testing.
I conducted a web search for the most recent articles on e-commerce testing, and Testing Excellence was the first that appeared to have more than one article on the topic.
The two articles that caught my eye were:
1) A comprehensive how-to guide outlining the common areas to test for when looking at an e-commerce website such as the shopping cart (of course), search results, payments, post-payments, and then some.
When I used to think of e-commerce, the thing that would be top of mind would be the shopping cart (and abandonment). This post made me look at both the bigger picture of the high level areas and categories that make up this complex ecosystem, right down to the nuances of isolated components.
2) An overview of the importance behind e-commerce testing including key considerations such as user experience and impact on sales.
I found this piece to be particularly interesting as I hadn’t put too much thought around the shopping cart UX and it challenged me to think about the vaster end-to-end user journey.
