Jet crashes in Minnesota; seven passengers killed
The Associated Press reports that a small jet flying from New Jersey to Minnesota crashed. The accident killed seven companies travelers.According to the AP, spokesman for the FAA Elizabeth Isham Cory said the plane crashed at or near a regional airport about 60 miles south the Twin Cites. The jet involved was probably a Raytheon Hawker 800 corporate jet apparently encountered thunderstorms jet.The giving 80 mph winds. The company that supplied the plane was identified as East Coast Jets Inc.In search of the plane, it would appear that it has eight seats and two seats of the crew, then it would seem that it was almost full to seven passengers. It is considered a midsize jet that can reach a height of 41,000 mostly feet and a maximum speed of 514 mph and a cruising speed of 463 comfortable mph. While not identified as the culprit, often causes collision of aircraft in thunderstorms is a phenomenon called wind shear is a change in slope of the air which essentially creates a "hood" which literally means "shear" down at the impact of the wings. We have three airports in Peoria, Illinois, and there were a number of collisions that typically occur in other cities, but the flight began our city.Often, particularly in streams, accidents occur when drivers are upgraded on the plane they can fly.I have never flown a jet, but for a time back in the early 1970s I took flying lessons from the typical single-engine 150. I've never done anything harder in my life. Maintain level flight and making turns is scary. More when you come in for a landing you have to come in at a steady pace all the time judging the height and distance from the runway. It is very difficult. I can not imagine what skill it takes to fly a jet.In Minnesota, there was no indication on the fate of the crew but you'd have to figure they are dead as well.
