[131103] Fanaccount: Lee Seung Gi – Zagreb, Croatia
So... the original plan teukiesdimple and I had was to meet up at 11:15 AM when Lee Seung Gi was supposed to land had he taken this morning's flight from Istanbul to Zagreb. However, last night some girls said on Facebook that they saw him and his crew riding a tram so, having realized he took the yesterday afternoon's flight, we decided to meet up at 10 AM sharp. The weather was sunny and warm but windy. As I approached the Main square, I spotted teukiesdimple already there ❤ We decided to go up to the cathedral to see if oppa was perhaps there. Nope. Next, we passed the Dolac market, then down the stairs back to the Main square. At that moment the wind started blowing like crazy, barely allowing us to move. It was fun. After checking the Zrinjevac park, we decided to climb up to the Upper Town/Gornji grad. There were lots of stairs OTL /rant. Not a living soul was in front of us, but as we glanced to the left, we saw an ahjussi but supposed it was just a random ahjussi. Little did we know... We decided to go down through the Stone Gate/Kamenita vrata, then down the Radić Street and back to the Main square yet again. By now we were at a loss of what to do and where to go. We decided to rest for a bit.
We sat on a big block of marble with a big street lamp in its center, watching the trams pass by (why am I even describing this when it's irrelevant...). As we talked, I was looking to the left, facing teukiesdimple, and she was looking to the right. After about 10 minutes, we got up and decided to walk around idly. Just as we turned around, teukiesdimple suddenly spotted Lee Seung Gi. She said she was positive, but I wasn't buying it because she would gasp whenever she saw anyone of Asian origin xD They came to the Main square down the very street we had taken meaning they were walking idly behind us while we were at Upper Town! The ahjussi we saw was actually with them *O* Before we knew it, we were walking in their direction. Since I'm nearsighted and have had the same lenses for years now and am in need of higher diopter, I couldn't tell for sure it was him. Also, he wasn't facing us. I noticed at least four people with cameras around him – two oppas and two unnies around them, filming. My initial thought was that they were Korean tourists or fans that recognized them, but it turned out they were part of the crew. It became more and more obvious it really was him. It's just that at that moment you can't believe it. We ended up... following them ;A; If only we had kept our squeals down and tried not to be so damn obvious OTL We crossed the street and sped up, then crossed the street again so that we could see him up close when we stopped at the tram station and he passed by us. And we did and HE. IS. GORGEOUS. LIKE... HE. IS. REAL. AKDJFSDLKFJSADF!! ***Fun moment: some kid let go of his balloon and OPPA. WENT. TO. GET. IT. AND IT WAS THE CUTEST THING EVER OH MY GOD!!!*** Again, about following: in the heat of the moment you simply don't realize what exactly you're doing, what it looks like or how the people around you may feel. We probably looked like sasaeng?? ;A; The difference is we had no bad intentions at all. But I think we did interfere with their filming (because they must have been alerted and suspicious and couldn't focus on filming and everything ;A;) but then again we weren't the only people on the street but we were the only ones following them and we're truly sorry *sigh* It's embarrassing and I am aware of everything now but I need to write this. Anyway, as both them and us reached the hotel they stayed at, one of those two unnies I mentioned earlier turned around and said: „Don't follow“, and she motioned to the door. A moment earlier the tram reached the station so we said it wasn't our intention at all (to follow them all the way into the hotel!) and that we were waiting for the tram, so we jumped in.
Inside the tram we fangirled so much that some old hag with three grandchildren commented under her breath: „What's wrong with them...?“ We got out at the next station and started walking back to the Main square, squealing and having feels. However, as we sat down to rest on that marble block again, we soon began feeling guilty because unni had scolded us. It dawned on us then. We decided we would head home only after apologizing to unni. We waited at the Main square but then remembered that, when we first saw him, oppa was carrying bags with take out food (?) so they were probably having lunch and, after waiting for a while, we decided to just go back to their hotel, try to find unni, apologize and go home already. The feeling of guilt was just horrible. When we got there, she and the other unni went down the street to buy (even more) food. I started to apologize but they ignored teukiesdimple and me after three whole seconds of glaring daggers at us. We were dumbfounded. We thought maybe they wouldn't listen unless we spoke in Korean OTL When they got back from shopping, I tried to apologize again but to no awail. I don't even want to know what they were thinking tbh... After a while, two oppas went down the street in the opposite direction and when they returned, they had more food on them xD But apologizing to them felt stupid because it wasn't them that spoke to us. Unnies appeared again and after my third attempt at apologizing failed, teukiesdimple and I felt pure rage. Like, why can't you spare fucking 15 seconds and let us fucking apologize?? teukiesdimple then ripped a page from her notebook and wrote an apology to Lee Seung Gi. She wanted to leave it next to the door but it was a windy day and the paper would fly to god-knows-where. We thought about leaving it at the reception but we feared getting any closer to the hotel. Still, it was the only way. As we inched closer to the hotel door, Na PD and another unni exited – unni ignored us, PD-nim smiled a bit but that was it. We didn't know what to do anymore – we didn't want to anger anyone any further (not that anyone besides those two unnies showed anger), we just wanted to pass the note to anyone, it didn't have to be oppa himself for fuck's sake, so just stop ignoring us all the time! >_< Our hearts sank yet again and we returned to the street. teukiesdimple said she wanted to go home already. I wanted to go, too, but I knew I would feel like shit leaving without apologizing.
It had been an hour since we had gotten there for the sole purpose of apologizing for interfering with their filming. And I know it looked weird because we were standing there at the door, waiting. teukiesdimple snapped and left the note near the door again but I repeated it was a bad idea. We moved a few meters away from the door to stand at the tram station and just go home. Suddenly, there was commotion – they were heading out to film again. Oppa was right there, talking about food and having eaten well happily [at least I think I heard him right] (THAT. WAS. SO. CUTE!!!). He was so close to us again ;A; When oppa appeared I was staring at the ground and teukiesdimple had pulled her mp3 out and was already listening to something with only one earphone so she could hear what I was telling her. We suddenly felt embarrassed because there was a possibility that those unnies told him we were some insane sasaeng fans. I was standing a bit more to the right, a bit closer to the road, a bit farther away from oppa. As he passed by us (ever so slowly aldksjfksdjf), his arm brushed against teukiesdimple's ALDKFJASLDKFJAKSDJF (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻ LIKE. HOLY. SHIT!!! and I think she froze... or maybe melted into a puddle xD Where was I? He passed us by, spun on his heels and stood there (right behind teukiesdimple!!!) for at least three whole seconds. By the time he brushed against her I had ripped my eyes from the ground and rested them on the stripes on his shirt, still not daring to look at him as if he was a good friend like I did earlier in the morning (because of what he might have heard from unnies). I don't know why he stood there for a moment but I take his brushing against teukiesdimple's arm casually as something reassuring, as if he tried to say that everything's okay and that he isn't bothered by what we did. ... Am I nuts to think something like that? O_O Or was it fucking fanservice lmao XDD
Faith in humanity restored
Anyway, as we observed their receding backs, we realized that, now that those mean unnies were busy filming, we could actually leave the note at the reception!! We entered the hotel yard again, took the note back from where we left it and then saw a guy working there that asked us what we were up to. We explained the whole situation quickly and he motioned to some oppa to come over. When he did, we asked him if he could give the note to Lee Seung Gi and he promised he would. We thanked him and I even bowed automatically lmao and this incredible relief washed over us immediately. I trust this oppa really gave him the note ❤ Oppas are so much nicer than unnies, srsly!
Honestly, I never thought I'd have a chance to write a fanaccount because Korean idols don't really come to Croatia for vacation. Although unnies made us feel shame, frustration and rage, the moments we spent focused only on Lee Seung Gi were the happy moments and those won't ever fade from our memories.
