3. Tevin Carter, Utah: Carter showed in his time at Utah that he had all the talent that an NFL team could want from a safety. Carter has great size, standing 6’1 and weighing 222 pounds while showing tremendous agility. Carter has the speed to possibly run somewhere in the 4.4’s and should also be above average in the jumping events and 3 cone along with being in the upper echelon in the strength lifts.

2. Jayron Kearse, Clemson: Kearse is the freak defensive back all defensive coordinators wish they could coach up. Kearse has the NFL bloodlines including Jevon Kearse, the original freak. Kearse has linebacker size and has tremendous straight-line speed and should jump out of the room possibly running in the 4.4’s and jumping almost 40 inches. Of course he is above average in the strength lifts and brings enviable size, standing 6’5” and weighing 220. A long and explosive athlete from a Power 5 conference Kearse’s stock should be helped tremendously at the Combine.

1. Miles Killebrew, Southern Utah: Killebrew brings great speed, size, strength and explosion into one powerful athlete. Killebrew has been living in the tackle box in college but has the speed and jumping ability to be equally effective on the back end. Should run somewhere in the 4.4’s at the combine and be one of the top defensive backs in the strength lifts and should do very well in the broad jump event. Killebrew could be used as a linebacker in nickel situations, very similar to Deone Bucannon does in Arizona but his athleticism should ensure that he stays at the safety position.
