While I am genuinely surprised that Jared wants to jump right into another lead TV role, I think it’s smart. If he ever wants to be seen as anything other than Sam Winchester/Dean Forrester, sooner is better. 

I’m also happy that it sounds like the show will be set in Austin, which means at least some filming would happen there. That means no more flying across the country every week, which I’m sure is a much-needed break for him. Not to mention seeing his family every day and sleeping in his own bed. 

I do feel strangely protective/jealous (so many feelings) about seeing him in a new role. Like part of me is so excited (for new fics too) and part of me has a lot of anxiety over it...but mostly I’m thrilled for him. 

Jared is a leading man and he deserves a standout role. 

I’m happy he’s getting a shot at something he’s passionate about. I’m sure being a kid from Texas, Walker was an icon when he was growing up. 

We’ll all be right here watching!
