Caprock Canyons State was amazing. Nature is amazing and Texas is the best. Had a great time exploring with my daughter. Took a lot of pictures but most of all I just enjoyed it. Bastrop State Park, TX - December 31, 2015

We went hiking in Bastrop State Park on the last day of 2015. I knew the park had burned in 2011, but I hadn’t realized how much of the park had been damaged until we made our way into the park. It was one of those surreal moments when you realize this park will probably not be as beautiful as it once was in your lifetime. But, it was awesome to see the new trees budding and growing.
